Legionnaire Running Hats

Legionnaire hats are ideal when you’re running or hiking in strong sun or exposed conditions and need extra coverage for your ears and neck. They’re popular for long trail days, desert, alpine or any other environments, and any time you’re out for hours without shade.

Our legionnaire hats are designed with UPF-rated panels, typically offering higher protection on the brim, front and sides, with additional coverage across the top and neck. Check the product details for the exact UPF rating on each style, and remember that sunscreen on exposed skin is still recommended.

The flap is made from lightweight, breathable fabric that moves with you instead of sticking to your skin. Many styles also feature button or clip points so you can secure the flap when it’s windy or when you don’t need the full coverage.

Yes - our legionnaire designs include adjustable closures so you can dial in the fit, and the low-profile crown works under many bike and climbing helmets.
